Weather Tidbits: Wind Alerts
It’s get very windy in this Weather Tidbits with wind alerts. The National Weather Service issues three types of wind alerts, wind advisory, high wind watch and high wind warning. A wind advisory is issued when the following conditions are for 3 hours or more of sustained winds of 31-39 and/or wind gusts of 46-57 mph. A high wind watch is when conditions are possible for 1 hour or more that consist of sustained winds of 40 mph or greater and/or wind gusts of 58 mph or greater. A high wind warning is the same criteria as the high wind watch, but occurring or imminent.
