Ward Museum to reopen Wednesday, July 22nd
SALISBURY, Md. – The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art has announced they will reopen this Wednesday, July 22nd.
Officials say they are excited to welcome visitors back to the grounds and galleries, after closing to the public back in March due to COVID-19. A few measures have been put in place to keep everyone as safe as possible:
- All visitors will be required to wear face masks over their noses and mouths at all times indoors. Masks are recommended outdoors as well, and are required outdoors when maintaining a distance of six feet or more from others is not possible.
- All visitors will have to respond to a brief health screening checklist on arrival and have their temperatures taken before proceeding anywhere inside the museum. Any visitor with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, who has COVID-19 symptoms, or who has been in recent contact with a COVID-19 positive individual will have to leave the premise.
- All visitors or visitor groups are required to maintain at least six feet of distance from others
- No gallery tours o interactive displays will be offered at this time. Limited occupancy of the galleries and grounds will be enforced.
In addition, the museum will be offering special hours for seniors and other vulnerable populations before regular admission begins. New Ward Museum hours are as follows:
- Special Hours: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Regular Hours: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday)
