Wanted Milton man arrested on felony charges

MILTON, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a wanted man after he was found in possession of drugs.

Just after 3 p.m. Thursday, troopers were attempted to locate 20-year-old Harold Stokes-Perry, who had an active warrant for possession of a firearm. Harold was observed sitting on the front steps of a residence in the 28000 block of West Spring Side Drive, but he immediately ran when he saw troopers. Troopers chased him on foot and gave him numerous commands to stop, but he refused. He was also seen throwing what appeared to be a bag of crack cocaine.

He was eventually taken into custody with the assistance of a Delaware State Police K-9. A search led police to discover more than $250 in suspected drug money, a small black digital scale, two cell phones, and approximately 3.38 grams of marijuana. Troopers searched for the bag thrown during the foot chase, but were unable to locate it.

Harold was subsequently charged with tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, and third degree criminal trespass. He was held at SCI on $4,101 cash bond.
