Three cooling centers to open in Somerset Co. Tuesday

WESTOVER, Md. – The Somerset County Health Department has announced the opening of several cooling centers today throughout the county.

The Somerset County Civic Center in Princess Anne as well as the Lower Somerset Rescue and Ambulance Squad in Crisfield will both be open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., while the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Wenona will be open from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Masks will be required for entry, and everyone will be screened. Residents need to bring their own masks, food, beverages, and medications. Pets will not be allowed.
