Swimming advisory issued for Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach, DE – Officials issued a swimming advisory on Thursday for Rehoboth Beach after a sample taken on Tuesday showed high levels of bacteria.

The bacteria is suspected to be associated with rainfall that occurred on Tuesday night, according to the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. They will be collecting another water sample and release those results on Friday afternoon to determine if it is safe to lift the swimming advisory or to extend it.
