Salisbury organizations hosting free community event in Doverdale Park

 

SALISBURY, Md. – A few organizations including the area’s Vulnerable Population Task Force are holding a free community event on Sunday afternoon at Doverdale Park.

Doverdale Park EventThere will be free food, masks, Pre-K and Kindergarten registration, health screenings, Census registration and bike giveaways. Organizers tell 47 ABC this is the third event of its kind to help address needs within the community while bringing everyone together.

“In this time of people being separated and the divisions happening around the world we see here in Salisbury we are one Salisbury coming together fixing the needs, solving the needs for the people in our community and that’s what makes this so important,” says Mark Thompson, the director of the Adopt A Block program.

You don’t need to register or live in the Doverdale neighborhood to benefit from the services they’ll be offering.
