Rehoboth Beach Main Street launching new “Christmas in July” campaign to help businesses during COVID-19

REHOBOTH, Del.- Businesses are getting into the Christmas Spirit a little early in Rehoboth Beach.

Rehoboth Main Street launched a new campaign Tuesday called “Christmas in July” and it’s all to help local businesses during this trying time.

Rehoboth Main street said the coronavirus pandemic hurt many businesses, so for the rest of the month they are encouraging people to buy from shops and restaurants on Main Street to get them back on their feet.

Businesses are getting in on the fun too by decorating with holiday decor and offering customer discounts.

“We do most of business in just a short few months, and that has really been cut short because of the pandemic,” Edward Chrzanowski, Elected Commissioner in Rehoboth Beach, said.

“It’s a great opportunity to celebrate the upcoming holidays and hopefully it will drive business downtown because right now businesses are hurting,” Dan Slagle, Exec. Dir. of Rehoboth Beach Main Street, said.

The campaign will run until July 31.

We are told starting July 27 parking will be free from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. to help promote people coming down to support businesses.
