Police: Seaford woman threatens mother, mother’s boyfriend with knife
SEAFORD, Del. – A Seaford woman is behind bars after she allegedly threatened her mother and her mother’s boyfriend with a knife during an argument Tuesday evening.
Just before 7:30 p.m., troopers responded to the 11000 block of Kime Circle for a reported domestic incident. Contact was made with a 40-year-old female victim and 36-year-old male victim who reported that their daughter, 20-year-old Salena Timmons had threatened them with a knife. It was reported that the two had gotten into a verbal argument with Timons when she allegedly pulled out a large kitchen knife and charged at them with the knife.
The victims fled the residence and contacted police from a neighbor’s house. Timmons found the victims inside the neighbor’s residence and entered the house, once again chasing them with the knife. A physical altercation ensued on the front lawn, at which point Timmons hit the female victim on the head with the blunt end of the knife. She then fled on foot.
Police say the female victim did not require medical attention for the injury on her head.
Troopers located Timmons on East Middlecord Circle a short time later, as well as the knife used in the incident. She reportedly gave a false name and resisted arrest, but was eventually taken into custody.
Timmons was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, first degree burglary home invasion, two counts of aggravated menacing, resisting arrest with force, third degree assault, criminal impersonation, two counts of harassment, offensive touching, and disorderly conduct. She was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $47,500 secured bond.
