Police issue Amber Alert for missing 2-year-old child
GEORGETOWN, Del. — Delaware State Police have issued an Amber Alert, at the request of the Georgetown Police Department, for a missing child that police believe may be in imminent danger.
Police say they received information today that 2-year-old, Cristobal Lopez has been missing since sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Investigators believe Cristobal was last seen on the evening of July 25th, in the unit block of South Front Street in Georgetown, while in the custody of the child’s cousin.
Police say the cousin discovered Cristobal was taken by his mother, 26-year-old Angelina Lopez, on Sunday, July 26th at 5 in the morning. Reports say that Angelina had made arrangements to stay at her cousin’s house for the evening to visit her child.
Police say Angelina has an active court order indicating that the child is to remain in the custody of the cousin and Angelina is to have no unlawful contact or unsupervised visits with Cristobal.
Police describe Cristobal as a two-year old white, Hispanic male child with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blues shoes and a yellow t-shirt.
Police describe Angelina as a white Hispanic female, 5 feet” tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a long sleeve black shirt and blue pants. It was discovered that Angelina took a black and light blue car seat from the cousin’s residence.
An active felony warrant for breach of release for Angelina is currently being obtained by the Georgetown Police Department with further charges pending.
