Playgrounds, dog parks remain closed in Milford

MILFORD, Del. – Milford officials say that playgrounds, dog parks, and public restrooms will remain closed to the public in the city.

This is due to the susceptibility of the virus spreading on common areas such as gate latches, swings, play equipment, and restroom surfaces. We’re told the governor’s guidelines require a frequency of cleaning and disinfection of these areas that current staff cannot meet.

The Riverwalk and other open space parks such as basketball courts and the walking track at the Tony Silicato Memorial Park remain open.
