Pair arrested on robbery, assault charges

EDEN, Md. – A reported robbery has resulted in charges for two Seaford men, according to police.

We’re told that shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, deputies with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 4000 block of Skylar Drive in Eden. On arrival, a male victim reported that he was confronted by two subjects while on his front porch. Further investigation revealed that the victim and the two subjects, identified as 23-year-old Willis Dickerson III and 21-year-old Deshaun Taylor, got into an argument regarding an earlier social media post.

According to the victim, the pair forcibly stole two cell phones from his possession, destroyed one at the scene, and left with the other one.

Deputies located the suspects’ vehicle at a hotel in Salisbury, where they were both taken into custody. Dickerson and Taylor were charged with robbery, second degree assault, and theft. The pair were initially held without bond, but bond was later set at $25,000.
