Ocean Pines woman celebrates 100th birthday

OCEAN PINES, Md. – On Friday at the Woodlands Senior Citizen home, Dorothy Ross celebrated her 100th birthday.

According to her family, Dorothy, or Dot as her family calls her, is still the matriarch of her family even at 100 years old. They say her recipes are legendary and the love and wisdom she has shown others is immeasurable.

Even though Dot’s four children, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and brother could not be with her physically for her special day, they say they have great hope they’ll be able to wrap their arms around her very soon.
