New events added to the list at the Delaware State Fair

HARRINGTON, Del. – While this year looks a little bit different due to the coronavirus, organizers at the Delaware State Fair say they were able to add a couple of different events for visitors. Officials say the one that’s the attention grabber this year is the Disc Connected K-9’s dog show. The shows are offered daily and are choreographed to music, with freestyle moves and tricks with dozens of frisbee championship dogs. Fair officials also say along with moving the fair’s circus experience outside, they’ve added Ohio native, singer-songwriter Adam Calvert to the fair to perform a number of hit country songs. Officials add that while fair favorite events are still around, it’s important to add new aspects to attract more people year after year.

“The circus, giraffe, the racing pigs, those are things that people have grown a custom to seeing at the fair so that was important to make sure to maintain. But also change it up a bit and keep people on their toes and also give them a reason to come out and spend some time with us here at the fair,” said Assistant General Manager, Danny Aguilar.

If you’re interested in seeing any of these events, you can visit the fair’s website here for times and locations.
