Local photographer to offer free headshots

NEWARK, Del. – If you’re in need of a job, a local photographer wants to help you out.

A free headshot event will be taking place in Delaware on July 22nd at the Christiana Mall.

Local photographer John Yeatman Junior with Trident Image Group will be the one taking the photos.

This is actually part of a larger, nationwide initiative called 10,000 Headshots where thousands of unemployed Americans will get a free headshot to help them land a job amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The agency Headshot Booker is the one who started the initiative. They’re working with retail real estate giant Brookfield Properties to create pop up photo studios across the country.

Yeatman Junior says he’s excited to be taking part in this initiative, because he says having a professional headshot can significantly increase your chances of getting hired.

Yeatman Jr. said, “We found that someone with a profile that’s updated, a profile picture such as on LinkedIn, is 21 times more considered than somebody without…so the better the image, the more consideration and that’s what we’re really trying to do in reaching people.”

To sign up for the free event that will be taking place from 11 a.m. 7 p.m., just head to HeadshotBooker.com. Click your state, then set up your appointment!

Each photo session lasts ten minutes and you’ll walk away with your professional headshot.
