Late-night shooting in Berlin under investigation

BERLIN, Md. – The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shots fired incident that happened late Tuesday night.

At around 10 p.m., officers responded to the area of Flower Street in Berlin for a report of shots fired. On arrival, deputies found three vehicles and two residences that were damaged as a result of gunfire, but no injuries were reported.

The Worcester Bureau of Investigation and Maryland State Police Forensics Science Division responded to the scene to investigate. Further investigation revealed that a private gathering was being held at a residence. A dark colored passenger vehicle reportedly pulled up to the residence, and the occupants of the vehicle were denied entrance. When the vehicle left the residence, numerous gunshots were fired from the vehicle.
