DELMAR, Md. – Over 100 bikers hit the road together to help raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The ride was escorted by the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.

Community members then gathered at the Delmar VFW Post 8276.

People got the chance to eat some delicious food and participated in raffles.

Members of the Friends of St. Jude say they’ve raised about $36,000 dollars for St. Jude during the last four years and that they will whatever they can to raise money to help children battling cancer.

“There’s not a day that wakes up by and guarantees my kids won’t get that call or get that diagnosis and for me, these children don’t deserve what they’re going through and if we as people who are healthy can get out there and help them, that’s what we’re supposed to do, that’s our passion, that’s what we want to see,” said Friends of St. Jude President Teresa Suber.

Organizers say Saturday’s event also honored the life of Nolan Miller a former committee member at Friends of St. Jude who died after a tragic accident last month.
