Free COVID-19 testing to be offered in Delaware this week

SUSSEX CO., Del. – The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services announced they’ll be offering free COVID-19 testing this week in Sussex County for residents.

We’re told no appointment is needed for the saliva-based test. Testing will be held as follows:

• Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. – Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach
• Thursday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. – Delaware Tech Jack Owens Campus in Georgetown
• Friday beginning at 9 a.m. – Milford High School

Officials say those planning to get tested should not eat, drink, or brush their teeth 20 minutes prior to the test.
