Fire marshals investigate Talbot Co. house fire

MCDANIEL, Md. – Maryland state fire marshals are investigating a house fire that broke out Monday night in Talbot County.

We’re told the St. Michaels Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze shortly before 8:30 p.m., at a house on Wades Point Road. A total of 60 firefighters responded to the fire, which we’re told took three hours to control.

Investigators have determined that the blaze started on the roof of the house, but the cause has not yet been determined. Damage has been estimated at $500,000.
