Downtown Salisbury’s 3rd Friday returns outside with new guidelines

SALISBURY, Md. – After months of going virtual, Third Friday will be returning to the downtown area starting next Friday.

Organizers say they are excited to be back outside, but there are some new changes people can expect to see.

For starters, they say Third Friday will now be held on Division Street.

There will also be new signs reminding people to social distance and in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, there will be no live music.

Hand sanitizing stations will also be provided.

According to Jamie Heater, the producer for Third Friday, these are just some small steps to getting back to normal.

“I’m excited to be back outside because that’s where I like to hang out and Third Friday is such a tradition for Salisbury,” said Heater, “I’m pleased to bring it back.”

“I would love to bring it back with a bang, I feel like it’s going to be more of like a yeah, but we’re going to be eased back into things and see how it goes,” said Heater.

Heater says there will be no additional activities at this point. She says Third Friday will continue to offer a virtual experience as well.
