Community members seek to help Hispanic-owned businesses thrive

SEAFORD, Del. – Team members at Linda Vista Real Estate Services in Sussex County are stepping up to plate to help Delaware Hispanic businesses thrive.

According to project founder, Reyna Gil people in the Hispanic community who want to start their own business will often face a lot of different challenges.

That is why they’ve started a project where they will videotape interviews with Hispanic business owners and talk about the struggles they’ve faced and their successes.

They will then share the interview on social media to help raise awareness and they say these kinds of efforts are needed.

“We need to surround ourselves with support systems and I want to see the other people that are on the edge or the fence of jumping and opening their own businesses to be surrounded and get to those circles of positive-minded people,” said Gil.

Gil is encouraging Hispanic businesses interested in being highlighted to reach her at Reyna@lindavistare.com.
