CHEER Inc. reopening in August, in need of volunteers
DELAWARE- The senior centers run by CHEER Incorporated will be reopening in August, but they are in need of volunteers.
The CEO of CHEER said their Greenwood, Harbour Lights, and long neck locations will open on August 3, and their Milton, Ocean View, and Georgetown locations will reopen August 10.
The centers will open at 30% capacity and with some changes like not offering a buffet, and having plexiglass shields.
We’re also told with the added changes more help is needed.
“We would welcome and be grateful for every volunteer that comes forward, we will train you on what the duties and responsibilities are, we will provide you with personal protective equipment as necessary to make sure all of us stay healthy and safe,” Ken Bock, CEO of CHEER, said.
We are told that they will be open five days a week with shortened hours from 10:30 a.m to 2 p.m.
CEO Ken Bock said if people would like to volunteer to help clean and run programs they can call CHEER at 302-515-3040.
