Academy Art Museum announces reopening
EASTON, Md. – Art lovers, you’re in luck. The Academy Art Museum in Easton is preparing for their reopening, and you’re invited.
The museum recently underwent a massive renovation and leaders at the museum say they couldn’t be more excited to show those off.
The building will reopen on August 1st, but with some changes of course. Guests will be asked to wear masks, to social distance, and to come either by themselves or in small groups.
We’re told there are tons of new exhibits to check out at the museum and that it’s a place that actually lends itself to natural social distancing.
“There’s been a lot of studies during covid about the lower risk ways to be out in the community and out and about, and actually museums are at the lower risk end of the scale,” Ben Simons, the Director of the museum, said.
After reopening on August first, the museum will be open Tuesday through Sunday. On Mondays it will undergo professional cleanings.
