69 new COVID-19 cases, 2 new deaths in Del., officials say

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says there are two new deaths related to the coronavirus in the state.

We’re told one individual was a Sussex County resident, and the other was a New Castle County resident. One of the two individuals reportedly had underlying health conditions.

Officials have also announced 69 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 12,531. 5,626 of those cases have been in New Castle County, while 5,008 have been in Sussex, and 1,795 in Kent. At this time, 63 individuals are hospitalized, 12 of whom are critically ill.

A total of 6,901 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
