Wanted Dover man arrested on drug, firearm charges
DOVER, Del. – A wanted Dover man is behind bars after he was found in possession of drugs and a handgun Monday afternoon.
At around 2:40 p.m., officers observed 37-year-old Alfred Terry in the area of 1131 N. DuPont Highway, who they knew was wanted on a Superior Court capias. Officers tried to make contact with Terry, but he fled on foot, however he was caught a short time later.
A search of Terry’s vehicle led to the discovery of a handgun, ecstasy, fentanyl pills, and $1,500 in suspected drug money.
Terry was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of firearm/ammo by person prohibited, possession of MDMA, possession of fentanyl, illegal gang participation, resisting arrest, and drug paraphernalia. He was held at SCI on a $110,000 cash bond.
