DOVER, Del. – Police have arrested two people after a shooting incident left a residence and vehicle damaged earlier this month.

At around 9:45 p.m. on June 8th, troopers responded to Becky Lane and discovered that a residence and vehicle that was parked in the driveway had been shot at multiple times. Multiple shell casings were also found in the driveway. There were two individuals inside the home at the time of the incident, however neither were injured.

It was reported to police that two subjects were seen exchanging gun fire, but they left the area before police arrived. Through further investigation, police were able to identify two suspects as 24-year-old Shykeem Johnson and 36-year-old Ray Horsey. It was determined that the damage was a result of gunfire from Johnson, and a computer check revealed that both are prohibited from possessing firearms.

Johnson was taken into custody at his residence on Becky Lane on Wednesday by the Governor’s Task Force. He was charged with possession of a firearm within 10 years of prior conviction of any felony and two counts of first degree reckless endangerment. He was later released after posting a $15,000 secured bond.

Horsey was also taken into custody on Wednesday, outside of a residence on Woodville Drive in Magnolia. He was charged with possession of a firearm within 10 years of prior conviction of any felony and was released after posting a $5,000 secured bond.
