The unofficial Primary Election Results for Virginia are in

 

VIRGINIA — The preliminary results are in from Tuesday’s primary election in Virginia.

Below are the unofficial results for the GOP Senate, where republicans picked Daniel Gade to be their nominee for United States Senate. He will be challenging U.S. Senator Mark Warner in the general election this fall:

Daniel Gade – 67%

Alissa Baldwin – 18%

Thomas Speciale – 14%

Although Warner almost lost six years ago, no big-name republican chose to challenge him this time.

Meanwhile the AP has unofficially called the race in the 2nd district for Republican Scott Taylor. Taylor will be facing off with the incumbent democrat, Congresswoman Elaine Luria this fall.

2nd Congressional District Results:

Scott W. Taylor – 48%

Ben Loyola Jr. – 29%

Jarome Bell – 22%
