Salisbury man arrested on assault, sexual assault charges

SALISBURY, Md. – Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputies say they arrested a man early Friday morning after responding to a reported domestic incident.

We’re told that deputies responded to a residence in the 5000 block of Rip Wil Drive at around 3 a.m. for a reported domestic disturbance. The victim told police that she had been assaulted by 40-year-old Brandon Owens during an argument, and defended herself by biting Owens during the assault. She also reported that Owens sexually assaulted her the night before.

Owens was arrested and charged with fourth degree sex offense and second degree assault. He was held without bond.
