Salisbury developers share plans for new downtown apartments, mixed-use building
SALISBURY, Md. – Developers unveiled plans for a mixed use property along the Riverwalk in downtown Salisbury on Monday.
Davis Strategic is behind the future building made up of 49 luxury apartment units. It will be built in one of the existing parking lots on East Market Street and Baptist Street across from the Amphitheater. Developers say there will be a restaurant on the ground floor as well as amenities like a gym, skydeck and secured parking. There will also be an open air beer garden next door built out of shipping containers. City officials say they are excited about the modern and youthful feel this will add to downtown
“We are creating more reasons to be downtown, to live downtown and connecting that to our cultural and entertainment venues like the Amphitheater across the way,” says Julia Glanz, the Salisbury City Administrator.
Developers say a two bedroom apartment unit will be priced around $1650 a month. They’re planning to break ground in Spring 2021 and, best case scenario, it will take one year to complete the entire project.
