Police looking to identify robbery suspect in Lewes
LEWES, Del. – Delaware State Police are looking for a woman who they say robbed a 65-year-old man Saturday afternoon. Officials say around 2 o’clock, police were called to the Weis grocery store after a woman apparently followed the 65-year-old victim out of the grocery store to his car, then stole his wallet after a brief struggle. The victim sustained minor injuries from the incident. Police say the suspect fled on foot, possibly in a red-colored sedan. Now troopers are asking for the public’s help in identifying this suspect. They say the woman is a white or Hispanic female, approximately 20 years old, 5’00”- 5’5″, black hair, wearing a white t-shirt, dark-colored shorts, tall black socks, brown shoes, and carrying a black Nike drawstring backpack with white lettering.
