HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police have arrested a man following an investigation into a theft of a firearm.

On June 16th, Harrington Police were called to the first block of Clark Street for a theft of a firearm. Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect had entered the victim’s residence and stole a Glock .40 caliber handgun. An acquaintance of the victim, 46-year-old Edward Crum, was identified as the suspect, and it was learned through a computer check that he is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a previous felony conviction.

Warrants were obtained for Crum, who was contacted and turned himself into police on Saturday. He was charged with theft of a firearm and possession, purchase, or own a firearm by a person prohibited. Crum was later released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
