Police: Driver shoots man after trying to run him over with his car following road rage incident
LEWES, Del. – Delaware State Police say they’ve arrested 28-year-old Kevin Brownlee after a road rage incident in Lewes on Saturday.
Police say just before 6:30 p.m. on June second 2d, a 38-year-old victim saw Brownlee driving his SUV with a kayak on the roof on Camp Arrow Head Road.
The victim apparently was able to make Brownlee stop, then approached him about his reckless driving. Brownlee allegedly tried to punch the victim from inside his car, then even tried to run the victim over with his vehicle. Police say the victim then followed Brownlee to his home, where the two got into a fight, and that’s when Brownlee fired shots at the victim who was in his vehicle.
The victim was stuck, but was able to get away and seek medical attention. Brownlee now faces charges that include attempted first degree murder and reckless endangerment.
