Peninsula Regional Health System comes together to recognize racism in the nation, be part of the solution

SALISBURY, Md. – One community is making an effort to come together and recognize racism in the nation, and as they say, be part of the solution.

On Friday, PRMC, Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, McCready Health Pavilion, and all other locations of the Peninsula Regional Health System stood together for 8 minutes and 46 seconds to reflect on lives lost, such as Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd.

In a statement, the President and CEO of PRHS says he believes their journey begins and ends with healing, and this is an important moment that can help begin to heal the wounds of these recent events caused by discrimination and racism.
