Ocean City Mayor and Council granting restaurants permission to expand outdoor seating during Thursday meeting

OCEAN CITY, Md.- The Ocean City Mayor and Council granted five restaurants permission to expand outdoor seating onto public property.

Some of these restaurants had asked for sidewalk access and others asked to use portions of the public street.

For restaurants asking for access on public streets, the council agreed that some type of protection needs to be put up to ensure the safety of customers.

The mayor and council are now just asking that all of these restaurants comply with state restrictions.
