Marylanders have less than a week to enroll for health insurance

MARYLAND — If you’re still in need of health insurance, you’re running out of time!

Marylanders now only have just six days left to sign up through the Maryland Health Connection.

The Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance program says so far, only 1,200 residents have enrolled in health insurance coverage during this special enrollment period that began in March.

Those who enroll in private health plans through Maryland Health Connection before June 15th, will have coverage by the first of July.

You may remember this special enrollment period began to help those who lost their jobs, and therefore their health insurance coverage, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To enroll, all you have to do is visit MarylandHealthConnection.org.
