Local man swims from Tilghman Island to Cambridge for a good cause

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – One man recently swam from Tilghman Island all the way to Cambridge, and it was all for a good cause.

Herve Hamn swam over 16 miles in the Choptank River on Father’s Day this past Sunday. Hamon says with months of river training, he was ready to complete his version of swimming the length of the Choptank River. He says he did this swim to honor fathers of all races for their courage and perseverance during the time of a pandemic, economic hardship, and racial inequality.
