Fresh Express announces recall of limited salad products, some sold locally
WASHINGTON D.C. – Fresh Express has announced that it is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of one of its products due to the presence of undeclared wheat, soy, cashews, and coconut.
We’re told the recall affects the 11.5 ounce Southwest Chopped Kit with product codes G163B10A and G163B10B, with use-by date of June 29th, and UPC code of 0 71279 30602 5.
The recalled product was distributed between June 12th and June 18th in the states of Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Fresh Express is working with retail stores to get the recalled product removed from store shelves and inventories.
Consumers in possession of the recalled product should discard it. A refund is available where purchased or by contacting the Fresh Express Consumer Response Center toll-free at 800-242-5472 Monday through Friday during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.
