Frankford Vol. Fire Dept. employee suspended over video posted online

Frankford Facebook Post

FRANKFORD, Del. – A Frankford Volunteer Fire Department employee has apparently been suspended after posting a video online “making light of racism,” according to the department’s Facebook Page.

In a statement on their page, the Department wrote, “The content of this video undoubtedly calls into question the trust and respect from you that we have spent more than 80 years trying to gain.”

In a response to one comment, the department wrote that the employee was suspended, and that the suspension would last “until action is taken by the Board.”

The Department also wrote, “On behalf of the officers and members of the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company, we are sorry. We are also sorry that we continue to live in a society where even the thought of making light of such a significant issue seems acceptable.”
