Fenix Youth Project to bring new youth center to Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – In just a couple of months, the Fenix Youth Project in Salisbury is looking to open up a brand new center for teens and young adults in the area. If all goes well, the center should be open by the fall. Executive Director of the Fenix Youth Project, Amber Green, tells 47 ABC the center will have things like an art and media lab, meeting rooms, and even laundry services to help those who are homeless. Green adds that it’s important to provide the youth in the area with a safe space of their own where they can grow and work together.

“We wanted to create this space where youth can be themselves and actually work towards doing creative projects, but also get those the immediate basic needs that they need. If you’re a kid and you need basic things you can come to Fenix Youth Project and you’ll be able to have those resources,” said Green.

Green adds that the Fenix Youth Project is taking donations of any kind, whether it be monetary or supplies for the center. For more information on how to donate you can go their website here.
