Easton celebrates business industrial park groundbreaking
EASTON, Md. – The town of Easton celebrated the groundbreaking of a new business industrial park on Monday.
The 86 acres at Goldsborough Neck Road will soon be home to the Mistletoe Hall Commerce-Business Park. Officials tell 47 ABC it’s a prime location for industrial, aviation and technology businesses. They say at least two companies have already expressed interest in building on the property and they’re hoping it will help them retain members of the local workforce.
“Our ultimate goal is to make employment in Talbot County attractive to the kids who are leaving and going to college, when they graduate to come on back home and help build the county up even better,” says Easton Mayor Robert Willey.
Willie says collaboration between the county, state and federal agencies has helped speed this project up over the last two years. Officials say the first part of property will be home to training grounds for local volunteer fire departments.
