DSP searching for wanted Dover man
DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a Dover man who is wanted for aggravated menacing.
According to police, at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, 37-year-old Kevin Jones drove his girlfriend and her friend to a Dover residence. The two females, ages 28 and 37, got out of the vehicle and went inside the residence. while Jones proceeded to leave the area with both females’ purses that were left inside the vehicle.
The females then reportedly made arrangements to meet with Jones at the Royal Farms on W. Lebanon Road to get their purses. While one of the females was grabbing her purse, Jones allegedly pointed a firearm at her. Both were able to get their purses back, but discovered that an unknown amount of cash had been stolen.
Neither of the victims were injured in the incident.
Troopers have not been able to locate Jones, who has an active warrant out for felony aggravated menacing and two counts of theft under $1500. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact Trooper Carter at 302-697-4454 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
