Dorchester Co. house fire ruled arson

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says a house fire that broke out Sunday night in Cambridge was a result of arson.

Officials say the blaze was reported at around 11:15 p.m., at a house located at 5382 Aireys Road. The Rescue Fire Company responded and placed the fire under control in approximately one hour.

Further investigation revealed that the fire was intentionally set. Damage has been estimated at $21,000.
