Delmarva Shorebirds cancel 4th of July fireworks show

SALISBURY, Md. – The Delmarva Shorebirds announced on Facebook Monday morning that they have canceled this year’s 4th of July fireworks show.

Shorebirds officials released the following statement:

“While the 2020 Minor League Baseball season remains on pause, The Shorebirds explored all alternatives to celebrate July 4th with fireworks. Unfortunately, due to restrictions caused by COVID-19, it is not possible to host fireworks at this time and we will not be hosting our annual July 4th fireworks show. We hope our fans enjoy celebrating Independence Day with their families and thank you for understanding.”
