Del. Law Enforcement Memorial damaged with axe, flags soaked in urine
DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department is investigating after the Delaware Law Enforcement Memorial was damaged with an axe, and two Delaware State flags were soaked in urine.
Police say on Friday morning just after 5:30, officers received a call from a witness who apparently saw a man striking the memorial with a sledgehammer. When police arrived, the suspect was gone, but police say there was significant damage to the next of the kneeling officer statue. Police say two Delaware State flags were laid in front of the statue soaked in urine.
