DART daily beach bus service to start June 29th

DELAWARE – Officials have announced that with the summer tourism season finally underway, DART’s daily Beach Bus service will begin on Monday, June 29th.

DART will serve Rehoboth Beach and the Boardwalk, Lewes, Long Neck, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, South Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island, Ocean City, Millsboro, and Georgetown. Buses will operate frequently from early morning to late night, seven days per week, until September 20th. All buses are air conditioned, ADA accessible, and equipped with bike racks.

Visitors and residents are encouraged to use one of DART’s Park and Ride lots. The Lewes Park & Ride is located at 17616 Coastal Highway, just south of Five Points, while the Rehoboth Park & Ride is located off DE 1 at 20055 Shuttle Road, just north of the entrance to Rehoboth Avenue. Parking is free at both lots. One-way cash fare for the bus is $2, or you can get a daily pass for $4.20, a 7-day pass for $18, or 30-day pass for $65.
