Community members come together to help local homeless man get back on his feet

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Some people got together to help one man struggling with homelessness who is trying to get back on his feet.
Recently a man named Kris left a note at the Shepard’s Office in Georgetown that had a list of what he needed to “get back on track in society”. On Thursday, some people in Delaware teamed up with lots of coordination by Pat Purdum with Creative Concepts Furniture to get most of the items on Kris’ list, which included flashlights, batteries, a cooler, landscaping items, and an alarm.
Jim Martin with the Shepards Office says Kris is trying to get a new start and they are hoping that this practical “hand up” of various landscaping tools can provide Kris with the opportunity he has been hoping for to begin his own “odd jobs” business in the community.
