47 ABC takes home nine awards from Chesapeake AP Awards Show
SALISBURY, Md. – On Saturday, the 47 ABC news crew took home nine awards from the 2020 Virtual Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association Awards Show. 22 stations in Washington, Maryland, and Delaware submitted 284 entries in the contest, which featured news and sports stories from 2019. This year, the awards show was online due to the coronavirus pandemic. 47 ABC accepted nine awards for Outstanding Spot News Reporting, Outstanding Coverage of a Continuing Story, Outstanding Specialty Reporting, Outstanding Documentary/In-Depth Reporting, Outstanding Enterprise Reporting, Outstanding Sports Feature, Outstanding Light Feature, Best Reporter, and Outstanding Year-Round Local Sports.
