Wicomico Co. Government to receive COVID Emergency Response Grant

WICOMICO CO., Md. – Congressman Andy Harris announced on Friday that the Wicomico County Government will receive $58,008 in federal grants from the Department of Justice’s Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding (CESF) Program.

This program allows states, U.S. territories, the District of Columbia, units of local government, and federally recognized tribal governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus.

We’re told that funded projects may include, but are not limited to, overtime, equipment, hiring, supplies, training, travel expenses (related to the distribution of resources to the most impacted areas, and addressing the medical needs of inmates in state, local, and tribal prisons, jails, and detention centers.
