Wanted Milford man arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force

MILFORD, Del. – The U.S. Marshals’ First State Fugitive Task Force apprehended a wanted Milford man earlier this week.

On Monday, police located 32-year-old Joel Weche at a residence off of Beaver Dam Road in Ellendale. Police say Weche was wanted for a reckless endangering incident back on April 10th, in which he allegedly fired multiple shots into a residence. He also had another similar arrest warrant out of Delaware State Police Troop 3.

A search warrant was executed on the Beaver Dam Road address, resulting in the recovery of approximately 172 doses of suspected heroin in Weche’s bedroom.

Weche was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession, purchase, own, or control of a firearm by a prohibited person, four counts of first degree reckless endangering, aggravated menacing, criminal mischief $1000 to $5000, and criminal mischief under $1000, in connection to the arrest warrant. He was also charged with manufacture, deliver, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance tier 1 quantity, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection to the search warrant. He was also charged in connection to the DSP warrant.

He was held on $214,500 cash only bail and was issued no contact orders between himself and all victims.
