Two-vehicle crash claims life of one, injures two others in Accomack Co.

NEW CHURCH, Va. – Virginia State Police say one person is dead and two are injured following a crash in Accomack County Thursday night.

Police say they were called to investigate a two vehicle accident that occurred on Route 13 at Davis Road around 10:20 p.m. Further investigation revealed that Ethan Hart of Saxis, VA, was driving a GMC pickup truck westbound on Davis Road heading towards Route 13 when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. Hart, and the driver of the tractor trailer, identified as Thomas Pusey of Delmar, MD, were taken to PRMC for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.

Police say it is not clear if alcohol was a contributing factor at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
