Single vehicle crash claims life of Silver Spring man
SALISBURY, Md. – Maryland State Police say a Silver Spring man was killed in a single vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in Salisbury.
According to police, the accident happened at around 2:10 a.m. on westbound Route 50 at Rockawalkin Road. Once on scene, troopers determined that a black Ford pickup hit a sub concrete barrier and continued driving, crossing all lanes of traffic, before the driver lost control and veered off the roadway into a ditch bank and overturned.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as 61-year-old Michael Robinson, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say his body has been turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
